Your claim status remains the same, and you will continue to receive all the advocacy services you’ve grown accustomed to.

There is no action needed from you, and you do not need to make any changes with us or the Social
Security Administration.

  1. Why the change?
    Social Security Advocates for the Disabled has been part of the Brown & Brown insurance family of brands for several years. We are proud to be a Brown & Brown company, and we are now reflecting that relationship in our new company name and branding.
  1. Is Brown & Brown Absence Services Group an insurance company?
    Brown & Brown Absence Services Group is not an insurance company. Our parent company, Brown & Brown, is one of the largest and most respected insurance brokerages in the world. Brown & Brown Absence Services Group works with disability insurance carriers and individuals who are unable to work due to illness or injury as they apply for SSDI benefits.
  1. Do I need to do anything?
    You do not need to take any action, and your case is still in the same capable hands of our client advocacy team. Rest assured that your representation will not change; you will continue to receive the same level of service from us. You do NOT need to make any changes with us or the Social Security Administration.
  1. Do I have to restart the SSDI application process?
    You do NOT need to restart the process. Your claim status remains the same, and you will continue to receive all the advocacy services you’ve grown accustomed to, from the same team of experienced advocates you’ve been working with so far. Your representation remains the same, and you do not need to make any changes with us or the Social Security Administration.
  1. Has my representation changed?
    Your official representation has NOT changed. You do NOT need to make any changes with the Social Security Administration.
  1. Will I encounter any out-of-pocket expenses?
    No – you will not incur any out-of-pocket expenses as a result of this rebranding.
  1. Do I need to dial a different phone number now?
    You can continue to use the same phone number to contact us, as all phone lines will route to the same teams. When you call, you may hear a recording introducing our new Brown & Brown name, but your call will still be routed to the appropriate person.
  1. Do I need to email a different address going forward?
    All of the email addresses associated with Social Security Advocates for the Disabled will automatically route to the same team as before, so you don’t need to worry about getting in touch with us. Going forward, you may see replies come from a bbabsence.com email address.
  1. Will my Client Success Center access change?
    You will still be able to access up-to-date status information about your claim using the same Client Success Center links and logins. You will notice our new name and branding when you login, but you do not need to do anything differently.
